This Hurts

What I really enjoyed about This Hurts By Shaun Mathis was the gritty, honesty that was depicted in the novel. It was written from a males point of view and it allows you to travel into the depths of the male mind that has not been touched before. Shaun's character development is outstanding as well as the twists and turns in the novel. This Hurts made me upset, happy, optimistic and sympathetic throughout the entire time I read it. Each chapter taps into a different emotion.



Best of all, I met Shaun at the Harlem Book Fair and I was shocked to find out that he is only 24 years old. For an author of his age to write such a gripping tale is beyond amazing! This is must read.
