Males are Idiots

I have a relative who has two parakeets. One male and one female. This relative has decided to occasionally let them out of their cages. At one family get together he let them out. At one point the female bird flew to a curtain rod. While she was there the male bird decided to join her. After a minute the male bird decided to move over to the female. In a few seconds I had noticed that the male bird was pushing he head into the breast feathers of the female bird. The female bird decided not was not a good thing a moved away. The male bird followed and started the pushing his head into her again. The female bird moved away again but once again the male bird followed. The female bird put up with the male bird for a few more seconds and then without warning pushed the male bird off the curtain rod. The male bird recovered about half to the floor and flew back up to the curtain rod where he proceeded to once again push his head against the breast feathers of the female bird.
I can give so many more examples of other species NOT putting up with the nonsense.
Males of every species are idiots. We will do anything, even die or become crippled, just for the promise of at some point having sex.
I'm so glad I'm over 50 and have less hormones. I'm still stupid but at lease it's not embarrassing.
