Hurry Dates - A New Way for Baltimore Black Singles to Meet

Hurry dates offers a new twist on a tried and true theme. Speed dates or hurry dates have been around a few years now. Problem is,there are not many black singles (mature or otherwise) involved. Ebony 1st Impressions offers you 7-10 hot ways to make a new African American connection with our version of Hurry Dates(in Black).

We offer quality black singles a safe, fun way to meet each other. The events will take place at local (Baltimore/Washington metro area) restaurants or nightclubs and are scheduled at least 3 weeks in advance. The events will be from 8:30pm-11:00pm unless otherwise stated. They start on time and should be less than 3 hours. Put on your best face, keep an open attitude and who knows how many good things can happen.

Each lady will have her own table and the men will move from table to table. Being on time is a MUST. Rotation will start at around 8:50pm and will last for 5 minutes(hurry dates). I will have cards with your names for each candidate. Keep track of who you want to meet and the level of friendship desired. When the event is done, I will collect all cards and email you the results.
Sounds simple. Should be a Blast!

Speed Dating is one of the hottest dating trends in the USA and the UK at the moment and will no doubt sweep the world before too long. Here we give you the lowdown on what Speed Dating can do for you.

Why is it so popular?

Well, it's great fun, it's safe, and it's a great way to
meet up to 25 eligible singles in one evening!

Why is it called Speed/Hurry Dating?

Simply because each date is 'speedy'. With a more normal'first date' you may rapidly decide your date is not your
type but you're stuck with them for the whole of a
sometimes expensive evening! With Speed Dating you will
only be with your 'date' for a minimum of 3 minutes and
maximum of 8 minutes and so if you don't like them you
won't have to suffer them for long before moving on to
your next date.

How does Speed Dating work?

1. You register for a speed dating event in your area and
for your age range. You nearly always need to register in
advance so that the organizers can ensure the numbers of men and women attending are roughly similar.

2. You gather with 20 to 100 other singles at a popular local bar or restaurant.

3. You have a number of short dates with a number of
singles. Some organizers will have up to 25 dates of 3
minutes each whereas others will have just 8 dates but of 8 minutes each.

4. You can usually meet other singles in the intervals or at the end.

5. At the end of each Speed Date, if you want to see the person again, write their name on your dating card.

6. At the end of the evening, hand in your dating card
to the organizers (or sometimes you will log on to a website and enter the names of the people you wish to see again).

Hurry Dates in Black also uses a date card for the same purpose.

7. Whenever 2 people enter each others names that's a match!
Contact information is provided to both so that a 2nd date can be arranged.

Speed Dating Tips

a. Don't expect to meet your perfect partner the very
first time you go. Just try to enjoy yourself and if you
happen to find 'the one' then it's a bonus.

b. Smile. You have only a very short time to create a
good impression. A friendly smile will always help your 'date' to feel comfortable ..... and make you look more attractive too!

c. Don't always ask the obvious questions. If a person is asked what job they do by 25 people in one
evening then they'll possibly be getting fed up of it in the end. Try to ask questions that are fun or unusual (but not too bizarre). A touch of humor is always a good thing.

d. Keep your dating card out of sight. Your date willnot be too impressed if they see you have 20 other names on your card.
