Confused! Is it time to get my hat?

I meet this really nice guy in July at the expo in Indiana. He was very different from what i was used to. So we talked on the phone alot and finally he came over we had the best conversation, we really clicked. He told me that he traveled alot he showed pictures where he had gone to Africa, Amsterdam, Sweden so I figured he liked to travel. So as time went on for the next month or so, I went to where he lived but I noticed he ws a real miser or cheap brother. We would go places but he would wait to eat when we came back. I let it go after a few times. but it has been three months and we still really haven't gone anywhere. He has since gone to Miami & Detroit. My problem is that he is cheap and always on a budget when it comes to me but takes expense trips out of town or the country. My questions lady is is it worth it or should I just get my hat!
