Baltimore Hot Spots
This page, Baltimore Hot Spots is dedicated to the places and spaces where a single lady might be able to go, alone and feel comfortable. Though I no longer "hang" like I used to, I do get out now and then and will add to this list whenever possible. My wish is for you not to sit at home, alone waiting for the phone to ring. Get out there and let the folks see how special you are! Gentlemen, this is no slight to you. You would be most welcome at any place I list. Most men roll alone, just trying to get the ladies to do the same! Feel free to email your suggestions to me! Notre Maison Open Thursday - Friday Though no hot food is served, there are herbal teas, fruit juice and cheesecake is available. Written up in the Baltimore Sun (November 18th, 2004) this is a wonderful place to visit and come back again and again! Great atmosphere, interesting people and beautiful setting. You will TRULY feel welcomed! Update from Ms.Jacqui Greetings New Faces and Familiar Faces,
Join Notre in Welcoming Hanalyn to the stage. Check out the website for information about her Thursday feature at "Our House". HanaLyn is a Baltimore Born, New York hybrid and ready to share her story with you!!!
Be on the look out for our next feature,Talaam Acey, bringing his thunder through Notre on May 24th. Did you miss last chat? Our House rocked with the thrilling sounds of The Battle of the Sexes. No black eyes or bruised egos; but, plenty of probing conversation, delicious dinner and drinks. Sorry, all you get is a peek because, "WHAT HAPPENS AT CHAT NIGHT, STAYS AT CHAT NIGHT." ...and we left a lot...
If you weren't able to make it to Chat 1 on the 1st Friday of May, fear not, CHAT 2 will happen on the 3rd Friday of May. * We open the doors at 8pm, * Order from the CheeseCake Factory by 9:00 and * Eat, drink and be merry until 2am
Well, what else is happening? November will be Notre Maison's FIFTH year anniversary. Can you believe it? Five years. Time really does fly when you are having fun. While things have not always been "fun", there has certainly been countless enjoyable memories, faces, events and experiences here at Notre. Five years. Wow! What is in store for Notre Maison? What does the future hold? Will Notre Maison's door continue to open in December? I don't really know as of yet. I guess time will tell. I'll keep you posted.
Let's see. What has changed? Well we still have Poetic Sit every Thursday night. Doors open at 7pm. Poetry starts at 8pm and we close out around 10pm. The mic list cuts off at 9:30. Every first and third Friday is still CHAT night. The change is that we no longer chill to soothing sounds before CHAT night. We just go hard;-) Straight into open discussion. Doors open at 8pm and we start CHAT at 9. We order from the Cheesecake Factory at 9:30pm. Saturdays are still available for your rental pleasures. So, if you are planning a birthday party, baby shower, retirement party, bachelor/ bachelorette party, book signing or anything else, call me to save your date and time on the Notre Maison calendar. Be mindful of the role you play in the lives of others. Keep reading. Keep writing. Keep encouraging our children to be positive and brilliant in their our light! Acknowledge and Enjoy Your Blessings Jacqui

Melba's Place 3126 Greenmount Ave (410) 366-6536 For the truly adventuresome, a visit to this Hot Spot is just what the doctor ordered for clearing out the cobwebs and shaking a tail feather. The music in this nightclub is fantastic, just try to sit in your seat (if you are lucky enough to have one). Gets a little crowded but I have NEVER had a bad time. Ladies, this is a solo journey- like taking sand to the beach. The food is good and just what a body needs to keep on dancing! Daily6:00pm - 2:00am No Jeans or Tims Saturday and Sunday Jazz on Sunday evening- call for exact time$5.00 cover after 10:00pm
